About
Foundation Summary
The Rural Iowa Youth Leadership Training Foundation (RIYLTF) is a youth-led, volunteer-driven nonprofit committed to empowering young people across Eastern Iowa through a dynamic blend of outdoor adventure, civic engagement, and community-based leadership training. Inspired by traditional scouting values, the foundation provides year-round programming for youth ages 5 to 20, with a strong emphasis on rural revitalization, public service, and character development.
RIYLTF bridges generations and communities by integrating mentorship, local partnerships, and real-world skill-building. From environmental stewardship and emergency preparedness to community service projects and civic literacy, participants gain the confidence, tools, and experience to become the next generation of leaders in Iowa’s towns and counties.
